Wilridge Vineyard has adopted a male monarch butterfly—aptly named Wilridge—through WingsRising’s Adopt A Monarch program.
Wilridge was released near Lewiston, Idaho, on September 8 with a tiny solar-powered tracking device. Through the Project Monarch network, we can now follow detections from his journey and share updates as he travels toward his winter destination.
This project has a special connection to our vineyard. Wilridge Vineyard is a certified Monarch Waystation, where we preserve milkweed and support the habitat monarchs and other pollinators need to thrive.
